June 22 YA Fairyloot Unboxing

I have been on the Fairyloot waitlists for months, but last month I finally got an email saying that I could order my first Fairyloot YA box. This was a really good month to start with because it came with one paperback and one hardcover book! It also includes some bookish goodies that are inspired by popular fantasy books, following a specific theme for the month. For the month of June, the theme was Chosen Ones. The subscription is $35.90 per month plus shipping.

If you don’t know what Fairyloot is, here is the description from their website:

What’s inside the box?

FAIRYLOOT IS A BOX OF BOOKISH TREASURE STOLEN FROM A FAIRY’S LAIR

Well, sort of. It’s actually a fantasy-focused monthly book subscription box containing a recently-released Young Adult book and a selection of 4 – 5 high quality bookish goodies. We partner up with the best authors and leading publishing houses to regularly surprise you with special edition books that will keep you up all night!

This box included a bunch of paper goodies, including Sting Dagger Paper Tags (inspired by The Lord of The Rings), Tarot Cards of the Month (inspired by Blood and Ash), Adelina art print (from The Young Elites), Rin Trinket Dish (from The Poppy War), and a letter from Emily Thiede (This Vicious Grace).

Additionally, the box included this Book Sleeve inspired by The Atlas Six. I did read this book, but all the other items have led me to add many books to my TBR!

Twin Crowns by Catherine Doyle and Katherine Webber

The paperback included this month is Twin Crowns, which includes a redesigned cover, digitally sprayed edges and digital signature.

Description:

A high-stakes fantasy rom-com about twin princesses separated at birth—one raised as the crown princess, and the other taken as an infant and raised to kidnap her sister, steal the crown, and avenge the parents’ murders—the first novel in a new YA duology from bestselling UK authors Catherine Doyle and Katherine Webber. Perfect for fans of The Selection, My Lady Jane, and Caraval.

This Vicious Grace by Emily Thiede

The book of the month for June is This Vicious Grace, which has an exclusive edition cover, stencil sprayed edges, foil on the hardcover, artwork on the endpapers and signed by the author. As mentioned above, there is also a letter from the author on the back of one of the art prints. I am super excited to read this book and love the yellow sprayed edges!

Description on Goodreads:

Three weddings. Three funerals. Alessa’s gift from the gods is supposed to magnify a partner’s magic, not kill every suitor she touches.

Now, with only weeks left until a hungry swarm of demons devours everything on her island home, Alessa is running out of time to find a partner and stop the invasion. When a powerful priest convinces the faithful that killing Alessa is the island’s only hope, her own soldiers try to assassinate her.

Desperate to survive, Alessa hires Dante, a cynical outcast marked as a killer, to become her personal bodyguard. But as rebellion explodes outside the gates, Dante’s dark secrets may be the biggest betrayal. He holds the key to her survival and her heart, but is he the one person who can help her master her gift or destroy her once and for all?

Emily Thiede’s exciting fantasy debut, This Vicious Grace, will keep readers turning the pages until the devastating conclusion and leave them primed for more!

I am really happy with my first Fairyloot box and am so excited to read the books (although a little scared of ruining them). I am planning a post of summer books, so hopefully will be able to get to these in the coming months & will review them when I am able to read them. I hope you enjoyed reading & let me know what you think of this box in the comments below!
